Took the stars and stripes down this morning...the game v Ghana was there to win, but alas. Today England got leathered by Poland (sorry, Germany).
This won't mean much to our US friends, Snori, but I've just watched REAL sport: Rugby League - Warrington v Leeds. Power, passion, aggresion, speed, skill - precisely what England don't have. It was the same last week: St Helens v Wigan. Even World Cup soccer is just tedious after this.

I played many years of American football . When I lived in Scotland I had the opportunity to play rugby . I did so . Once . My 'friends ' said , " Oh , you played American football , you'll be great " Like a lamb to the slaughter

Sorry Roughyed, I went to a rugby playing school with two Welsh games masters (one of them a real humourless bastard) so I was put off all forms of rugby for life. Cricket (played), and football (watched) are enough sport for me as I approach my dotage.
